Lời Hồi Đáp 1994 VietSub, Reply 1994 (2013)
Reply 1994 VietSub, also known as Reply 1994 (2013),was the highly anticipated follow-up to the immensely successful Reply 1997 in 2012. This time, tvN brought viewers a new gift in the form of Reply 1994, which had a similar title but a different storyline, aiming to create a new sensation. Reply 1994 had a stronger plot and a younger cast, set in a university where the core group of friends were young women in their twenties and thirties. From Busan in 1997, we followed the characters to the capital city of Seoul in 1994, while still preserving the unique characteristics of the provincial families. The series took us back to 1994 with great attention to detail, humor, and nostalgia for the 90s. Reply 1994 tells the story of a group of young people from different provinces who strive to adapt to the lively and vibrant life in Seoul. It also touches on the popular social trends of that time, such as basketball, baseball, and the rise of the pop group Seo Taiji and Kids. All of these elements are harmoniously blended to create the most authentic portrayal of Seoul in 1994, filled with interesting stories between its characters. The media landscape during that time transitioned from landline telephones and text messages to the emergence of mobile phones, which were considered revolutionary at the time. We also witnessed the presence of email and social media, the shift from floppy disks to CDs, and from Walkmans to disc players, cassette tapes, and VCRs giving way to the digital age. The rapid advancements in technology left many people amazed, including one of the characters' fathers in Reply 1994, who became obsessed with the latest scientific discoveries, particularly the first form of mobile phones, but was only able to experience them in public phone booths and was astonished by digital cameras - his eyes danced with excitement alongside these new gadgets.
