The Flowers Are Blooming(2021) is a Vietnamese drama series set in the sixth year of the Vinh Gia era. It revolves around Princess Tran Lang Nguyet of Chieu Hoa, who is fascinated by architecture and decides to leave the palace to join the Moc Vu Architecture Team, founded by the talented architect Ly Thanh Phong and his best friend La Due.
At that time, the Moc Vu Architecture Team had just been revived. Six young individuals from different backgrounds and with different ideals come together to transform peculiar yet fascinating architectural structures. From ancient towers to haunted houses, from mansions to bridges, from small countryside homes to royal palaces, they ultimately contribute to the development of their country. Through various thrilling and emotional situations, their relationships undergo countless unexpected changes.
At times, they argue fiercely, but they also support and warm each other. Together, they overcome obstacles and not only transform the architecture but also their own inner selves. In the end, everyone in the Moc Vu Team grows and achieves their own destiny, creating a heartwarming anthem that celebrates the heroic youth.
The cast of the series includes Princess Tran Lang Nguyet, who is not only favored by the emperor (then the crown prince) but also has a good relationship with him. She has an extraordinary beauty with sparkling eyes, a sharp mind, curiosity for new things, and a free-spirited soul despite being born in the palace.
Ly Thanh Phong, a brilliant architect, possesses the ability to see through everything and carries himself with the dignity of a nobleman. Although he comes from a prestigious family, his status as a second son makes him sensitive, suspicious, and increasingly rebellious.
La Due, a young and talented businessman, is not only highly intelligent but also emotionally intelligent. He can skillfully navigate situations like a shopkeeper in the market, yet he exudes the aura of a nobleman. He has good character, a wide network, and can handle everything well. He is an all-around talented individual who loves money and dreams of becoming the most powerful person in Lâm An.
Triệu Dật Ninh, the unique daughter of the wealthiest merchant in Lâm An, possesses stunning beauty and a slightly arrogant and proud temperament. She likes to wear a red dress and is nicknamed "Little Chili Pepper." Triệu Dật Ninh is lively, pure-hearted, enthusiastic, and passionate like fire. Although she lacks the gentleness and grace of a woman, she has the straightforwardness and integrity of a nobleman.
Han Nieu Nieu, the daughter of a prominent landlord in Dương Châu, has a dignified appearance and charming manners. Although she appears cold and reserved on the outside, she is warm, kind-hearted, knowledgeable, and considerate of others.
Mạnh Nguyên Húc, the only son of Mạnh Trung Sơn, the chief magistrate of Lâm An, is the first young master of the city. Although he is a bit rough, he possesses a heroic spirit, righteousness, and straightforwardness. Moreover, he is the "childhood sweetheart" of Princess Tran Lang Nguyet and has genuine love for her. He joins the Moc Vu Architecture Team and becomes its captain to pursue the princess.
An Tiểu Lạc, a close maid of the princess, follows her and becomes the team's manager, responsible for managing documents, finances, and inventory. An Tiểu Lạc is petite, cute, with a gentle and lovely face. She has a simple and kind-hearted nature, and Princess Tran Lang Nguyet sees her as a younger sister, while she idolizes the princess.
Vương Dị, the supervisor of the Moc Vu Architecture Team, is in charge of resolving issues that require violence and ensuring safety. His true identity is Điện ti Đô Ngu Hầu, known as the strongest person in the Forbidden Guard. He possesses extraordinary martial arts skills and is secretly protected by the emperor to avoid trouble and inconvenient actions. Reluctantly, he takes on this violent role to avoid revealing his true identity.
